I count myself fortunate that I rarely get a cold, and even more rarely, a severe cold, but that's what I've got right now.

Sorry to hear about your terrible cold.
If you're using a medicine with Guaifenesin in it that is what helps break up mucus (everywhere in your body not just your nose, throat, lungs).

Yes, I knew that some cold medicines could have that effect, but I didn't take anything for this cold.
