Hi there.. Just read your post. I'm 42, (DH 34) and ttc #2 (DS 14). A few months ago we started to chart my cycle as we realized that if my new DH and I want to have a child together (has a DS 11), we'd better get cracking..

I've read several of fertility books talked about on these boards (Toni Weschler, Dr. Lee's books, etc.) and this past cycle started baby aspirin and herbs (False Unicorn Root, Red Clover Leaf, Nettle Leaf, Dong Quai) and making this red raspberry leaf tea, which I drink twice a day... I swear my body feels like it's come alive and I'm really hoping that translates to a BFP soon! I'm 3dpo and started using natural progesterone cream yesterday to help strengthen the uterine lining and prevent miscarriage.

Curious what your protocol has been prior to the decision to do IVF. I just read Inconceivable, which is really uplifting and confirmed my herb protocol. Thinking of adding acupuncture next cycle if no BFP this month..

Look forward to hearing more and have a wonderful holiday!

Cathi, thanks for sharing your story. Your experiences show how strong you are and only strengthens the resolve to have a child, which will translate to you being a wonderful Mother one day. I can't even begin to imagine how you've managed to get through all of this and wanted to say how beautiful a soul you must be to endure so much and still have such a positive outlook. I know when my path is encumbered it makes me even more stubbon and I'm sure it helps to have a really supportive DH.

All the best for a great holiday season and for your IVF coming up soon. Are you doing any visualization work and/or acupunture?

Please let me know how you are and lots of baby dust!!
