HSG's have a high false positive rate for detecting blockages. That means if it shows an open tube, there is a 95% chance that it really is open. However, if it shows a blocked tube, there is really only about a 65% chance that it really is blocked. The test could have shown a blockage due to a muscle spasm or other temporary factor. Since yours showed an open tube, it probably is open. But, if you want to confirm that it is STILL open, I think the risks are pretty low, and if your insurance covers it, its not going to hurt to have it re-done. Mine was really uncomfortable, so its not really something I would want to repeat!
