Brandy, that would be such wonderful news if it just worked all on your own:)

Brandy I had zero follies on lupron flare (with bcp beforehand). I'm early in the process at day 5 of stimming I had 5 little teeny guys so far. This time I'm doing antagonist protocol. I tried estrogen priming instead of birth control (since we think I was oversupressed last time) and then I did a little cetrotide/ganirelix. Stimming itself is 150 menopur in the am and 300 follistim pm with growth hormone and an oral steriod. I hope everything works out for you!!!! -Pix

Brandy, are you going to convert to an IUI?? Yes, it is disappointing but between you and your RE, you'll tweak and figure things out for the next time. I don't know why but it seems a lot of RE's suppress (mine did on all of my ivf cycles).

Hang in there, you'll get everything worked out for your next cycle. Let us know what your new protocol will be and when you will start... I want to cheer you on!

You can still give it a try on your own this month, right??

Thanks for checkin' on me, Kristi. Well, my cycle got cancelled (sp?). I had one more follicle, but one of the three hadn't grown at all, so she cancelled me. I'm meeting with my RE tomorrow afternoon to discuss. I am believing this wasn't the right protocol for me. My acu, who has been pretty much spot-on with everything, told me at the very beginning that she didn't think I should do this cycle b/c of being suppressed wtih the bcps, as older women typically don't respond well. Sure enough, I only had five antral follicles b/f starting my stim meds, and I usually have ten or eleven. Sooooo, back to the drawing board we go. I'll post more info tomorrow. I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Thanks for that input -- that really does make me feel a ton better. Were you bcps b/f you started all the stim meds? My acupuncturist, who was an ob/gyn in China, thinks that I am on the wrong protocol and shouldn't have been suppressed, even though it was for much less time than a normal IVF protocol. Mine is called the micro-flare protocol. I go in tomorrow morning for another U/S to see if there are more. She wants to see at least three, four, or five follies to continue with IVF, as do I (or it's not worth the cost). If they're not present, then we'll convert to an IUI, and if I had to do it again, then she would change my protocol. Hopefully I'll never have to find that out! LOL! So excited for your good response!!!!! Wowzers!!!!! This is exciting stuff!
