So....my Day 3 lab results came in yesterday, and the lab confirmed they sent them to the Drs office late in the day. My Dr. didn't call with reults (prob had gone home by then) so I called this morning. The assistant said that my Dr won't be in the office till Tuesday so she can give me the results then. I asked her if the other Dr in the office today can give me the numbers of my results. She said "yes, but she is seeing other patients and probably will not call you."
I insisted and she said "I can't give you the results but they look normal to me so that is probably why no one is calling you."
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS TO MY LAB RESULTS??? I am in NY State. They are just SITTING on desk in a folder in their office and NO ONE will give me my numbers!! No one will call me.
This is really upsetting me. I am furious. I must have some rights to these results if they are available. They are just numbers, nothing open to interpretation as far as I know.
Can someone please give me advice on how to handle this?? I am at work so I cannot go to the Drs office today. I just want the freakin numbers over the phone. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Between this post and your relationship post I think I can gleen that you are feeling very stressed and desperate for answers to everything

Although I have also freaked on the phone to get my test results, I think part of what they are thinking is that they want to help you analyze them. Your list of questions could be answered by someone right in front of you. Although we all google our way to a medical degree, it is important to get the answers from the trained person directly. So, they may just wish to have an appointment to discuss what it all means and what the best course of action is for you given your specific numbers.
But, they are annoying! Before I signed a confidentiality agreement to release my results to my husband, he picked up the phone when they called and I was in the bathroom. I gave him strict instructions to GET THE NUMBER, NO MATTER WHAT! But, alas, they wouldn't tell him anything and he hung up before I got out. That was it! I waited all day for that 10 second call! Alas... we all get frustrated.

They finallllly got back to me and the Dr on call was very curt.
I posted my results in another thread, and I am sad and scared:
FSH 8.8
Estradiol 98
AMH is pending and will be ready next week.
I am afraid my estrogen is too high and I don't even know what that means for me. I do NOT like my DR and she was totally unhelpful. I have to get to an RE soon.
I just wish I knew:
1. How bad is a Day 3 estradiol at 98?
2. What are the treatments?
3. Will I need to be on meds or do IVF or can I get PG naturally??

I'm not sure what I would do.

Ohmylord, I have been in this position - so many times! They don't realize the urgency we feel and the receptionists seem to write us off.
I had day 3 results sitting at the doc office, I called and asked if I could pick them up on my way home; they said yes. I came by, and asked for them.
