Multiple IVF attempts???

I've been reading members' signature lines and seeing IVF#1, IVF#2, IVF#3 and so on . . .

Isn't IVF between $8K - $15K a pop? So, looking at the mid-range x 3 = $30K for IVF???!!! I cannot imagine that. The cost is inconceivable to me, and we have a very nice income.

Do they give you a discount for multiple IVF attempts?

Geez...It just seems wrong to charge that much.

My DH and I were very lucky to have infertility coverage through DH's work.

Yes it's alot of money.

We had some insurance coverage and most of the meds were covered so that helped.

Hopefully we're going to try one more time (#2) and the RE is giving us a financial break (no not for free) and hopefully we still have some insurance coverage.
