NEW HERE, TTC at 45 after m/c

Hi there ladies
I am here from the Pregnancy Loss board. I haven gotten my AF after a m/c a month ago, my 2nd in a year. Anyway....I am so excited to see so many women TTC over 40. I have had so many ups and downs (as we all have!). I am just thrilled to see that you all haven't taken the grim news that it is impossible to have a baby over 40 (I know that this isn't true!) with our own eggs.
Can anyone offer any encouragement or support!!!
I will try when I ovulate this month as I am running out time....

Thanks for any/all advice!
Yes I have had many treatments and 3 IUI's with no resulting PG's. I have only been PG due to natural conceptions which were carefully timed. I have been taking baby aspirin a lot and of course my prenatal vitamins. I have had 2 m/c's. The first last June very early on at five weeks (just a big period) and then one month ago at 9 weeks. Horrible experience!!!!! I haven't gotten test results back, so I don't know what the problem was. I bled for 2 1/2 weeks before finally m/c'ing, but did get two u/s with a beating heart. My RE doesn't recommend ANY treatment at my "age" except donor eggs, so I guess that means I am on my own. Where do you live? What RE do you see? Was you PG the result of fertility treatment???
Thanks for responding. And I have gone over the TTC over 40 website, it is AWESOME!!!

I am 41 and new here from the pregnancy loss site. I lost a baby at 9 1/2 weeks gestation in March and am TTC. Last month - no luck. I am hoping this is my month but more importantly, I pray for a healthy pregnancy. I took the m/c really hard. I think it's great that you're trying. Good luck to you and let's hope and pray that this is our month!

I'm 45 and ttc#1 after meeting my husband late in life. We had two pregnancies at age 40 and 43 that ended in premature ruptures at 18 wks. Interestingly, they were both natural conceptions after I had tried IUI's and IVF. My RE (St. Barnabas in Livingston, NJ) will not try IVF with me again because of my age and "poor response" (4 eggs retrieved), but she has no problem with me doing injectibles with timed intercourse, which is what I'm trying lately. My insurance covers IVF through age 45, so someone obviously thinks it can happen using IVF at this age. Sometimes I feel I should race to another RE to arrange IVF, but most of the time I figure my eggs are fragile enough that they just don't need any more of the high-tech manipulations. So I'll just keep on trying naturally.
If you check the over-40 website, you'll see a link to another over-40 message board that was created after this one changed format. There are lots of women over there.
Best wishes,
Nuni
Keep me posted as to your progress, my e-mail is blondiedb@hotmail.com
I am lurking on the over 40 board already, is that what you meant???

The other board I was talking about is a ttc-over-40 board that was created as an alternative to this one. Most of the women from this board have moved over there and it's very active. I think the following link will get you there. The only problem is that there are a lot of pop-up ads. Perhaps you have a web browser that can be set to stop pop-ups. In any case, you can check it out at:

Keep trying is all I can say. I am 41 and ttc #1 myself. My sister had her second baby boy last year (2 in two years) and she just turned 43. That's my encouragement. Anything is possible. Chin up and good luck.
