OK Ladies... Deep breaths.

Ladies,
As your former CL and long-time Member of the Board... I want to encourage you to take a deep breath regarding the newly designed Board. There are a lot of changes... not all of them are good (in my opinion), but similarly... it is not necessarily the case that they will all remain.
Let's give them constructive feedback, and allow them to consider our concerns. I have found iVillage to be very responsive in the past, and I imagine that they will be the same this time. We are strong, articulate women... we can do better than "I don't like it"... and I admit that my previous OMG posting was not constructive and was not accurate either.
It is great to post amongst friends elsewhere... but be true to the Board too. It has been here a long time and supported a lot of us. That does not have to change... perhaps it just needs a little tweaking down and speeding up.

Well said as always, Libby. Here are a couple of my gripes constructive criticisms:
- Why not put an excerpt from the LATEST post, instead of the original post, on the front page?
- This site is still among the slowest to load on the whole World Wide Web. The status updates (or whatever they're called) in the lower left corner of my browser tell me "Waiting for Facebook...," "Waiting for nbcuni...," "Waiting for Doubleclick..." So irritating. I know you have to sell ads and stuff, but is there a way to speed things up?
I'm sure I'll have more.

Bump.
Bump, again.

Hi..
Thank you for your post -- I really am glad to see this thread as a place for you to voice your concerns and/or questions, and I welcome you to add whatever you'd like. I'm not your Community Moderator, but I have already shared (along with your CMod, Melissa) your existing posts and will continue to do so.
Right now, we are still working on things -- load time was/is a huge priority, as well as other issues that have been voiced. It probably sounds repetitive but we really are working to address things as quickly as possible.
If you could hang with us while we working through this, we'd appreciate it. We know it's frustrating, but we value all our communities and members, and would hate to lose you.

My main objection is that the large photo boxes and post preview make each individual posts so large that you can only see 5 or 6 post titles at one glance on the whole screen of my computer. These photo boxes and the preview of the post text take too much space, and they seem to contribute to a slower loading time.
I like the new header and I like the right side bar, but the look of the content that brings me to the site is unattractive and unwieldy.
The mobile version of the site is much better for reading / seeing the posts, but it won't accept my password!?!
The size of each posting is the biggest problem. I want to be able to see many more immediately when I log on.

Good morning..
The preview post at the top is something that's been brought up and added to the list, but for viewing more posts, have you tried changing your preferences? I'm not sure if that'll help with viewing more on the screen without scrolling, but I know I played with mine quite a bit in the beginning to get to a better view when I first arrive at the boards. That's one thing that's actually a big plus for me with the new boards, but I know it's hard to enjoy the new options when some of the other things aren't working as we'd like.
Thanks again for sharing your feelings, and please continue to do so. (And if I didn't share it already, my address is policy@mail.ivillage.com if you'd rather write me directly.)
Have a good day,
Donna
Like I said before, it's not so bad on my PC, but I like to check the board - used to - on my iPad and although the mobile version works fine on that I just missing seeing all the siggies and personalization on that version.
