So AF started today, just a little over 2 months after giving birth to my daughter. I was a bit dissapointed that we weren't able to conceive before she came, but try, try again. Back on the bus so to speak!

When I conceived before I was on Vitex, DHEA, EPO, using progesterone cream and using soy isoflavones cd 3-5(as you would clomid). So I guess my question is a "what would you do?" kind thing. Would you just let this cycle run and not use anything or would you start up the old regime? I guess my only hesitation is that I have heard your first AF after giving birth can last a while and it takes a while for your body to get back in the swing of things. On the other hand, I wonder if starting the soy and progesterone and stuff would force it to become normal faster and also up my chances of conceiving. I am just so impatient! But I appreciate any input.

If you are breastfeeding I definitely wouldn't take anything until you stop. I have yet to give birth to a living child so no exp. there, but after being pg many times I tend to think it is best to let your body have a cycle off any supplements after pregnancy to try to regulate itself.

Well, I think it is a good thing that at least you got your AF back, as disappointing as it may have been. If you are breastfeeding, then definitely make sure anything you take won't affect your baby. Beyond that, I guess you should do what you are most comfortable. I can see the good of giving your body a month to regulate itself first, but I also understand wanting to get things going as soon as you can. Maybe you could start out this month with just the soy and the progesterone, then add in other things next month, provided all checks out with baby if you are BF. Hope everything kicks into gear easily for you. :-)

Lesa, if there is one thing on this board that we all understand it is impatience and wanting to get started ASAP!!!
