Please help interpret my tests

Hi everyone,
I have had some testing done and just wanted to get some help understanding the results. I had the endometrial biopsy and was told my lining was normal. Then, I have taken the Clomad Challenge test. I was told I reacted to the Clomad the way they wanted. I have 3 follicles, about 21, 20 and 19 sized on my left ovary and my right ovary had 3 at 10, 8 and 6. They said they were looking for anything over 18. I just am not sure what it all means? Also, should I not know what my FSH level is by doing this test?

You need to have your blood drawn day 3 of your period in order to know your FSH and estrogen level. You r numbers sound good and you sound set to go!

I have to admit, I never took a Clomid challenge test...it would seem to me if you reacted the way they wanted, that's great. I did take Clomid for 6 months, I took 50 mg (not sure what your dosage was?) The most I got in any month was 4 follicles...and most months it was 2-3, so to get 6 would put me over the moon! Great!!
The FSH is usually tested on day 3. My new RE tests this every cycle...my previous RE tested it once, and it was fine. He said so long as I continued to respond to the Clomid/Gonal F, he wouldn't retest the FSH...because if I was getting follicles, that was an indication that all was well with FSH. I did have a few months where I got fewer follicles...they tested the FSH and sure enough, it was higher than it had been previously. Mine has been as high as 11.5 (one month)...all other months its been between 5 - 9...but the RE says having that one high month isn't a good sign.

Thanks for your insight. I am not sure the next step for me. They wanted me to do an HSG, but I am not sure if I am going to do it. I think I might meet with the RE and talk more about it. I am not sure what it would tell me that the other tests have not?
I am still taking the Chinese Herbs. I have lost 15 pounds and am exercising Taebo almost every day. I am taking a lot of vitamins and plan to do more acupuncture. I have not started up with Randine Lewis as I planned because of the expense, but feel a lot better than I did a few months ago because of the regiment I am on now.

I am glad to see you are having testing done. You will be on your way to success soon. The #'s you gave us are the sizes of your follicles. In order to make a good embie you need to have mature follicles which would be over 18. Follicles can get overmature as well. I can't remember right know but I think over 22 is overmature. What your #'s show is that with Clomid you produced 3 eggs that are good enough to make an embie this month. It is different every month & depends on the quantity & type of drug you take. In a unmedicated PG you just develop one of the right size so you have 2 extra chances a a good embie with your stats now. Your FSH level should be a blood test on day 3 of your cycle.
