Should I just take progesterone?

I have progesterone suppositories that were prescribed by my RE for last pg. Then my prog. was fine so she had me not take them. While my losses don't seem to be from low progesterone, is it better to be safe than sorry just b/c I have it? Is there a downside to progesterone? I have been reading up on what Libby said about it sometimes being too late when you start the progesterone and I know some RE's just give it no matter what.

yes, take it. It can only help and can't hurt. A literal PIA but otherwise worth it.

Hi there. Progesterone is safe to take however it has been known to increase the chance of hypospadias in male babies. Please read this.

Personally, I would take it as the pros outweigh the cons. Hypospadias can be corrected in most cases if it does occur, but it is better to be educated about what progesterone can do.

Krista & Krystyne,

Thanks for your POV. I think I am going to just take it. My old RE would have had me just take it regardless. Krystyne, I really appreciate the new info, that is not something I knew about.
