Started inositol

I finally got some inositol and started taking it today. I figure since I am not doing clomid at the moment anyway, I would get on the inositol. Probably should have done it before. It won't hurt anything, and might help quite a few things in the long run, hopefully help me find that elusive bfp as well.

It is a specific B vitamin that has been shown in studies to help improve ovulation and other symptoms for those with PCOS, which I have. I have been getting an email newsletter about PCOS and they keep talking about inositol, so I decided it was time to try it. Here is part of one of the newsletters that talked about it:

1) More Good News about Inositol for PCOS

We've spoken often of the value of supplemental
inositol, a member of the B-vitamin family, as an
aid for improving ovulation and reducing other
symptoms of PCOS.

A new study of women who have PCOS has
shown that taking inositol resulted in a dramatic
drop in their testosterone levels; their testosterone
levels were only about 1/3 of what they were
before taking the inositol.

This is relevant because women with PCOS
typically have excessive levels of the male
hormone testosterone, which leads to problems
such as a lack of ovulation, hirsutism, hair lo.ss and
acne.

In addition, the women taking inositol reduced their
triglycerides and blood pressure. And they had
better ovulation.

The least expensive inositol is here:

Michelle,

I hope the Inositol is the 'Miracle' drug for you.

Thanks Kristi, I hope you are right. I do have some other side effects of PCOS, so even if the inositol only helps with those it will be worth it. Right now I am trying to just relax about things and see what happens. Stressing doesn't help a thing anyway, only complicates matters!

Thanks Lynda, Pam and Jessica, I have been impressed with what I have read too. Of course, like anything else, it all takes time, and my window for trying is running out. I wish I had got some when I first read about it a couple of months ago. Oh well, I won't look back, only forward to that bfp in the future!
