Kiki (hit my magic age of 45 and no longer TTC),but mom to a beautiful teen DD & 2 angels in heaven & married to my best friend
I know that you were only trying to be supportive to the ladies on here Kiki. I for one always appreciated your input. I'm kind of a positive gal myself and at times have difficulty when people are being, what I consider, negative. But that isn't just on this board people can be negative in every life situation. The key is not to let their negativity make you feel crappy when that wasn't your intent. In other words, in life, we make choices to run or stay. I understand in a forum setting, such as this, why you feel you can't stick with us. Afterall, this forum is for support purposes ONLY and really not meant for bashing on others whether that was the intent or not. I also know many people that have to have thier voice heard and that is fine with me. I guess my point is I wish you would stay regardless (thicken up that skin of yours- I have had thin skin too) if for no other reason than I consider you a close board buddy ;) So please please reconsider sticking it out with us other over 40's. pa-pa-pa-weeeeeaaaase?
oh, btw......I was ONLY using "funny" as a figure of speech about the fertility doctors!
Sandy, I am sorry your friend is currently going thru this.....but I found the article informative, as risks are given to us ALL THE TIME, by doctors.
The article shed a different light on the whole situation.....and I don't think the numbers in article are 100% accurate, but it does show stats and percentages in a different light.
I don't want to sound insensitive but I don't think its "funny".
so I have a 96.7% chance of having a baby without Down's
