Hi all,
My RE just emailed me a list of supps he wants me to be on beginning immediately, before I begin IVF with him, and I thought you might like to see too:

Thanks for sharing!! It is nice getting some free RE advice! =)
Yes, I love to hear what others' RE's are saying too! :)
Regarding iron: this is not generally prescribed. He only wants me on it because I lost so much blood with my M/C.
I am on Iron because of the large fibroid in my uterus that caused me to have really bad iron deficiency anemia, lowest level my Dr had seen in 3 yrs and almost sent me for blood transfusions, thankfully the surgery should make that get better soon!
Wow, LaRae what an ordeal with your anemia. How are you feeling now? I was terribly anemic as well, but the iron helped me a lot. It took a few weeks but it is helping. I just switched today to the slo-Fe brand. Have you ever taken that kind?
THe other 2 supps you can get at the Vitamin Shoppe, or GNC. Any major supplement store has them without an Rx. :) Inositol seems to be available in 500 mg caps but I take 2 with each meal = 1000 mg.
Yes, Dani this was news to me too. In fact, he informed me that recent studies have shown significant improvement on IVF outcomes for women taking melatonin and Inositol. :) I started mine yesterday. The melatonin is so nice and relaxing for sleeping, too. :)
My Dr. has me taking daily 2 of the 324 mg ferrous gluconate, I guess it is easier absorbed than ferrous sulfate. I really never felt that bad, the Dr said with my iron numbers (normal is between 12-16, mine was 8) he would expect me to be pale and sleeping all day, I fake and bake so was tan and I was walking 5 miles every other day in an hour and 10 min after working full time in a special ed classroom. He couldn't believe it. The only difference I see in myself now is that I am not chewing ice morning til night anymore!! I guess that is a form of pica (sp?) and signs of low iron, that and eating dirt, which I had no cravings for luckily! LOL!
WOW LaRae, HOW did you function??? That amazes me that you were able to do so much with such low levels!! My level was 9, and I was totally depleted. I could barely stand or walk without feeling like I'd pass out!
Yes my ferretin is/was really bad too! My Dr. said
