Ok, so the results are in. My hcg was 4. Right on the line of viability. Go figure, huh? He wants me to back for blood work on Monday as he dont know what to make of this number.
I know this is a ghost town presently but I choose to post for those who lurk and those hoping so seek some kind of information re ttc after 40.

Well, here is what I am chosing to believe, and your comments are appreciated if you have any supporting or non supporting information about my theory;

I took Clomid days 5-9. Clomid is known to make you ovulate late by 2-4 days. I'm thinking praying that I ovulated later then I thought and that I am barely pregnant. The only test that coud read a positive is FRE, which states they can get results 5 days sooner.

Either that or I'm dreaming and this is a nightmare.

I'm chosing option 1 as it will make the week go by faster.

Regardless, what ever God wants will happen.

Hi Melody,

I am one of those lurkers you mentioned. :-) Actually,
I posted on the board recently, so I'm not entirely just
a lurker.

Thanks for posting your update. I checked the board
tonight to see if you had and I am so excited for you.
I vote for option 1, too! What is FRE? I've never
heard of a test that can test 5 days earlier. I would
like to get one of those for the next time I think I
am pregnant (I just m/c'd very early on).

I hope you'll post another update after you go back
on Monday. I'll be praying for you that everything
works out. And thanks again for posting.

Best wishes to you! Amy

FRE Is First Response Early. It can detect pregnancy up to 5 days before your missed period. If you go to "Pee on a Stick" website http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html you will be able to check information about it. The company claims to be able to detect 15ml of hcg in urine, and anecdotal less then 5ml.

Thanks for the well wishes. Have you done anything beyond trying naturally? Do you know why you miscarried?

Hi Melody,

Thanks for the FRE info. I'll go check out that
website. I've heard of tests that detect as little
as 15ml hcg but had never heard how many days before
your missed period that might be. Good info, thanks!

We haven't done anything yet beyond trying naturally.
We're going to talk with a genetic counselor tomorrow,
though. We'll see what they say. I'm expecting it
is just that I'm getting old since I get pregnant
pretty easily and have carried 2 babies to term (one
is only 15 months old).

How are you doing in this waiting stage? You are going
back to the dr on Monday for another test?

Hi, sorry I haven't checked this board in
a really long time. I was sorry to read
that you lost that pregnancy. I also lost
another pregnancy at the end of July.

I have had several blood tests done over
the last month or so and all of them have
come back fine. This coming Friday I go
see a specialist to see if they can tell
me anything else. I am currently in the
2WW and think I might be pregnant again.
Just have to wait and see.

How are you now? Your last post said you
were in the 2WW. How did that go? Sorry
if you've already posted updated info in
another thread. I haven't checked all the
threads yet. I'll go do that now.

Best wishes to you! Amy
