I haven't been here too much lately, trying to cope with depression and the stess of ttc and other stuff...

I was awaiting Dh hormone blood work results today and turns out his testosterone levels are low as well. I am a bit upset at his Urologist and wanted to point this out to you ladies for when your husbands/partners go to their first Urologist appt. and make sure they run all necessary tests.

My dh Urologist did the manual checkup and requested semen analysis - Results: Low count... but never requested hormone blood work. My RE suggested it to try to get to the root of the problem or at least rule out everything. If his Dr. would have requested Blood work back then we wouldn't have wasted time and which means he would have been on meds already- which may take 1-3 months to work, especially since time is of essence as they say...

It's been an eventful morning/afternoon. I left a msg. for my dh Dr. yesterday and no one told me he would be away on vacation till next week. It's bad enough he's in the office 2 days per wk....I had to raise hell and speak to the the Director of hospital just to get the results. It's been a waiting game of 5 hrs, but finally got the results and in turn I faxed to my RE.

We have to skip IUI this month and maybe next month and hope the meds will do the trick a few months down the line and praying my #'s don't change drastically by then. I hate to feel like we're waiting another month, but as my RE says she doesn't want us to waste our $$$ until Dh gets the meds he needs...We can't afford IVF which is recommended, so we're opting for IUI for now, but I am still researching the price range in NYC and other states for IVF...

Leaving it in God's hands for now and waiting to exhale. Good luck to everyone one here on their ttc journey.

Wow, I don't know that I would have thought of that, I would have expected the dr to know better! I am glad you are at least finding out now, I hope the meds work very quickly to get things in a better state. I don't remember them ever checking DH for that, despite low numbers and low motility that were evident all those years ago. Hang in there, hopefully this is just the thing you need, and maybe you won't even need the IUI!

Thank you Michelle. Maybe the meds will help- even if we need the IUI.

Have a great weekend!

Krista it's great to see you :) - I am crossing my fingers that you see that BFP! Sorry the Dr's too so long to figure things out, but hopefully it is the fix that you all need and you will be joining the announcement section soon

Hi Angie,

My Dh appt. is scheduled for next week, and we'll know then. Hope things work out with you guys.
