Waiting to Ovulate March 2012

Share with others how you get through the "wait to O" period of your cycle. For some this is a short wait and can sometimes catch us off guard but for others with a long cycle, it can be a frustrating wait.

Cd15 today and another neg OPK. I know that it is still early, but I am having a hard time believing that I am going to O this cycle. I am trying to stay optamistic , but I am just not "feeling" it. If I don't O in the next 6 days, then this cycle of clomid is a bust. I will have to decide if I want to wait and see if I O on my own or start the progesterone to induce another cycle. I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Darn..it is just so frustrating to see all those neg OPK followed by all those neg HPT. On a positive note,
CD2 here. Hoping I O this month too. I don't think I did last month which sort of pisses me off considering the opportunities we took advantage of but oh well. I'm in it to win it baby....
Mel, I hope that OPK turns super dark today or tomorrow. Glad to hear the hot flashes are subsiding. Hang in there...

okay....I have a question for y'all? I started the OPK's, but they are showing negative. I 'think' I should O about this time of month. If they continue to show up negative (even if I think I should O), does it mean I didn't O, at all?
I've never done OPK's before? And also, if I don't O & we try, I won't get pg. right?

OPK's detect a surge in the hormone LH (lutinizing hormone) LH signals the ovary to release a mature egg. Ovulation will usually occur 24-48 hours after the peak

What CD did you start testing this time? CD 5 When do you test? at 2 p.m. What CD are you on today? CD 9 How long was your last cycle? 23 days (but my 'usual cycle' was 25 days...so I 'could' O on CD 11? I am waiting for my cycle to get back to normal after D&C....so I have no idea when I will O now?)
.I started testing early, because I wanted to get the hang of how to use them.....but stupid me, dropped the digital dispenser to read my pee sticks!

You still have time to O this cycle. It could be that this cycle is when you return to normal. Remember too though, that without charting you may not know how long of an LP you have and in a 25 day cycle with a 12 day LP you wouldn't O until CD 13. You will get your cycles figured out though. Do you check CM and CP? They are good indicators that impending O may be lurking. Just keep testing- this is the best test of patience (but I still haven't learned to gracefully get through a cycle)
You were smart to start testing early to get the hang of it. If there are no issues with sperm count, it will be okay to "relieve" DF- just so he doesn't get pouty like my hubby does!

well, testing now @ 2pm, then at 11pm, today CD 10, still no positive....but DF & I couldn't wait any longer, so we just DTD last night & we aren't 'trying' yet, but we also aren't not trying....so who knows?! We just needed to have sex!

You said you were trying the CBEFM didn't you or that you were going to try? I find them sooooo much easier than opk and I use Opk still to verify, but I don't use the afternoon urine I still use the same as I use for the CBEFM which is morning urine. I have a caught a + a few times with the OPK's coincinding with the CBEFM. You will get it! I know there are people that all they use are CBEFM and OPK or just the CBEFM and they seem to like just doing that. I am so regemented I really like doing all of it :) I'm a nut case though ;) Can't wait until you get married! It is then, game on, is it not??? Hope you wedding goes off flawlessly. hugs :) P.S. you are adorable!!! Love your pic.
