My m/c is complete now. I bled for about 2 weeks total and just stopped spotting this week. I talked with my OB last week via phone. I never went in when the bleeding started at 9 weeks because I knew a m/c was imminent. I bled for 5-6 days, then passed the POC with heavy bleeding, then bled for about another week or so. He said because there had been a HB probably a genetic reason was the cause. I'm sad and relieved also that it is over. It is trying knowing you have a dead fetus inside and waiting for it to be over. I can totally understand why many women opt for a d&c.

I will be 45 next month. I am fine with not having any more children. But I am holding out a secret hope that maybe, just maybe, I can conceive again, this time with better results.

Best wishes and baby dust to you all.

Julie: Really sorry to hear about your loss. I have not been through this, but can imagine it would be a very sad experience. I hope you will be able to have another conception with a healthy child as the end result.

I am on CD 10. I am hoping I will O this month, as I have not O'd since my son was born 12 months ago. I moved from my OB's office to an RE, and just had my prolactin level checked. Plan is if I don't O this cycle, next cycle we will try clomid again, with US and HCG shot, possibly IUI, depending on results of my dh's spermanalysis. Hoping for good news in a few days!

I am on cd16, not sure if I o'd this month. Usually I get very sore breasts, did not happen. My re found a small cyst during cd3 testing. So iui was postponed. I had a consult with RE on cd 13. He said my numbers were good fsh 2.7 e2 88 (a little high), my DH has a good count 40 ml with 100% mobility (at last iui) He said my only problem is my age, will be 46 in Dec. He said he would continue with the iui, that there was a chance. He said he would not go to ivf, that it would not have any better results in my case. I have a ds that will be 2 in a few weeks, we concieved him naturally in 3 months. I have been ttc again since he was 3 months old. I have had 2 iui's since July. Its just amazing how things can change so quickly. I'm just hoping now that af arrives on time and this cyst is gone so I can keep trying, I feel like my clock is ticking so fast now.I hate to waste a month. Thanks for listening. Good luck to all of you .

Hi Cathie!!

I am so glad you are still with us!! As for me, I finally had a cycle after my miscarriage. They did the blood work three days after (FSH, Estrodiol) and I had my HSG on day 11 (on first glance everything looked in order and all the right tubes were open!!). I have a consultation next week to get the results. I am holding my breath.

Many blessings to all of you and all the baby dust I can spare!!!

Hi everyone. I had my surgery and post-op visit indicated lots of scar tissue removed via hysteroscopy. I am on CD3 with more bleeding than I have ever experienced with the exception of m/c. I am on estrogen and prometrium for 8 more days and then we start on clomid for the next cycle. I have to have an ultrasound on day 26 after the 25 day estrogen therapy - just to be sure the uterus is clear. I know I will ovulate before then and I'm leaning toward bd'ing just for the heck of it to see if we can get pregnant without the clomid. We'll see. Good luck to everyone - lots of baby dust to all.

Hi Cathie,

I just finished one month of TTC naturally with just herbs/acupuncture/etc. Just started my period. I feel healthier though. I've been reading a lot of books/posts and a bit confused. Maybe you can help:

1) I recently read that one woman conceived by having an orgasm AFTER dh per the suggestion of another fertility expert. I thought orgasms would push out the sperm. Any thoughts?

2) She also used robitussin 4x per day during her fertile cycle to thin out her mucous. Have you tried this?

3) My periods are becoming more irregular. They used to be like clockwork. My mucous used to be good too but that's changed. I'll be 40 in Dec. Are these signs of perimenopause?

Thanks Cathie,

Hi All

For what it is worth, I have heard that during an orgasm your cervix actually dips forward into the vaginal pool (medical term for where all the secretions gather and the sperm hang out under your cervix) and this allows more opportunities for the sperm to find the correct hole to jump through!! Strangly enough, someone let a researcher put a camera into her vagina during sex and got good pictures of the cervix dipping forward. Interesting. I hope not too graphic!!
