1st Cycle on Clomid...

Hello everyone! My OBGYN cleared me to start Clomid this month (I'm on day 2). headache galore yesterday, but I seem fine today. I'm taking a combination of Clomiphene/Metformin/Propylthiouracil.

My guy is not on board with having sex for 5 consecutive days around and on my ovulation day. If I have to pick ONE day the day before I ovulate is the best day right? I think that's right...

Tricky for me since I don't ovulate very often and I've been working diligently on shortening my cycle length (44 days to 34 days in about 4 months). This may take a few more months of trying to time this right. My BBT has been sawtoothed without the Clomid.

Is anyone here doing the Making Babies 3 month Program for maximum fertility?

Yeah I hear ya. He's on Adderall for his ADHD and one of the side effects is a lower libido. The mind and heart are willing...

Mild cramping today and I had some spotting.

I love that book. I am the same type as you handmade similar changes. As far as sex goes, I would hope that if your guy wants to be the father he would commit to more than 1 day of sex during your fertile time! Doing it every other day would the optimal, and even then it would only total 2 or 3 times. I don't think that is asking too much , considering your own personal mental and physical investment with clomid!!

Thanks so much for responding!!

We were doing it the natural way (if it happens it happens method) too until I read the Making Babies book. I'm 40 now so I'm very committed to getting pregnant this year. Basically the book catagorizes most women into 5 areas:

Stuck, Tired, Pale, Dry and Waterlogged

Most of us fall into one or a combination of these body types. It uses Eastern and Western medicine to help you with your infertility and get pregnant the most natural way possible. IVF is the very last option. It asks for 3 months on their program before resorting to IVF.

I inhaled this book in about two days (I'm a combination Waterlogged/Stuck/Tired). It explained ALL of my symptoms and was able to balance out the Stuck/Tired part of me with supplements, diet change, moderate exercise, chinese herbs for qi stagnation, yang deficiency and Acupuncture. My cycle went from 44 days down to 34 days in 3 months. Now I'm just working on the Waterlogged (estrogen dominant, anovulation part) Apparently a large majority of us can get pregnant naturally by just changing a few things.

I found a questionnaire on line for people who can't wait to get the book so...here the link for everyone! After you take the quiz you can click on the advice for your body type link.

Hi and welcome. Sorry I have no experience with Clomid or any treatments. We are still doing the all natural way.

I would just try to DTD (do the deed) as much as possible. I always try every other day and O day and the day after O but it doesn't work out that way for us sometimes. The 2 times I have been pregnant this last year (although they were both m/c) we only managed one BD on O day.

What is the Making Babies 3 month program?

Wishing you the best. Keep us posted.
