? about implantation spotting etc.

Hi all,

I never really kept track of this kind of thing before, but after reading all the things you ladies have done, I was inspired. And curious!

Anyhow--wondering if any of you had similar symptoms. I'm not deluding myself into thinking I am (or am not) pregnant, as AF isn't due for seven days. OK, here goes:

I ovulated on Day 16. I had the cramping on my left side that always accompanies my ovulations. Today is day 21 and I've got tiny minor cramps again--not as bad as when I ovulate (and NOTHING like those horrible miscarrying cramps, which are pretty painful)--but if I hadn't ovulated already, I'd think I was ovulating now.

And for the first time since AF visited, I saw a little brown stain on my undies tonight. Completely light and just a tiny amount. I know from the past about possible implantation spotting--but shouldn't that have happened already? Like I said, I never really paid much attention before but now I'm wondering, does this light brown stain mean anything? (My normal discharge is just white--I know, TMI! Sorry folks!)

My next period should start a week from today. So that's when I'll take my pregnancy test.

Just curious to hear if anyone else had anything similar?

Thanks again!

Lois

I had the same brown discharge when I found out I was pg with my daughter. AF wasn't due for a few days but I took the test and it was positive. Good luck.

This past month I had hoped that this light brown discharge was implantation spotting...that happened late night Jan 24th, then the 25th and 26th I had slight pinkish and brown spotting...not a lot, now and then with light cramping. Unfortunately AF showed up full steam ahead on the 27th. So, it could be AF just showing up slowly...God willing, it's implantation spotting. Just wanted to let you know that it's not unusual for pre AF spotting. Good luck and baby dust to you.

Thanks all! Well, I took a preggo test this morning and it said not pregnant. But my period hasn't started yet. Soooo, I guess I'll just have to take a wait and see attitude. It's got to be one or the other so I have a 1 in 2 chance in being pregnant. :-) Hopefully something will happen this weekend that will be a definite!

Well, my period still hasn't started yet and my left fallopian tube seens to be hurting. Not sure what that's all about. I may just be a little late. I'm usually like clockwork every 28 days but hey, I'm getting older--maybe the clock's a little slower, too! :-) I'll probably take a HPT tomorrow or Sunday to see if I'm pregnant or not. I can tell I'm a lot calmer about all this now than in the past. Before, I'd be waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. on the day my period was supposed to start 'cause I was so anxious and eager to take the HPT! Today I slept in till my alarm clock woke me up! LOL! I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I've got one foot firmly entrenched in reality. So if it doesn't work out this time, I will be disappointed but not heartbroken (I hope).

Well, today is Day 30 and I have some minor spotting starting (and still a negative on the HPT). So, my guess is that my period will be starting soon--just late this month. While there still is the slight chance I may have a positive, I don't think it's likely. We shall see. Thanks for the good wishes and tips, everyone!

I'm so sorry Lois. It's good you have a foot in reality and aren't taking this too hard. AF is such a witch showing up when we don't want her to. So, if you do have AF now, I hope next month she stays away for a very long time!!

Thanks Cathy.

While AF is annoying for showing up unannounced :-) it's also good to know that this old bird still has regular cycles! It means I may still be able to have a baby. I should be a politician. I can spin a positive out of anything!

Actually, I had a few very down days so I let myself have a pity party. Now I'm trying to think as optimistically as possible again and think about everything I have to be grateful for. Of course, I'm sure that if I get another BFN in my next cycle, I'll be throwing myself another pity party! LOL!

I hear you about the pity party. I'm 41 for heaven's sake...not 60...so I feel like I can make a baby. It's quite the shock, if you will, for me because for my first and second, neither one were planned. Of course, I was 22 when I conceived the first one and then I was 32 when I conceived the second one. I did conceive a third one, a boy (Gavin)but lost him when I was just a couple days shy of 20 wks, I was 33 then. He wasn't planned either. So, this whole, ttc thing is hard sometimes for me to deal with. Especially when I get AF. I'm just starting my 2ww...I'm 3 dpo..have at least 10 days before I can test with reasonable expectations. I can tell you that I'll be pretty bummed if I get a BFN though. But, like you, I have that foot in reality and once I've let myself have MY pity party, I look at it like the next week or so as a vacation from worrying whether or not I'm preggers. So. If I do get a BFN, I'll probably post here about my woes. :)
