i am 41.... 42 in feb and have been ttc for almost a year now. i have never had trouble before...both of my kids were conceived on birth control! i was pg in april, but had miscarriage at 6 weeks. my doc says there is no reason why i cannot get pg again....its just frustrating when that cycle returns like clock work...my friends all think i'm nuts and i guess i just need ppl who are going thru the same thing to talk to. any replies or advice would be welcome!

Hi! I just wanted to reply, and encourage you to hang in there! I am 43 and got pregnant and had a baby for the first time at 41, so it certainly is possible! ( at the end of 40 I also miscarried, but at 41 conceived and gave birth to my DD now 19 monthes). So I would tend to agree with your doctor, about getting pregnant again. Even though it may be depressing about AF returning like clockwork---it sounds like your cycles are quite normal, so that sounds like it is a positive for TTC! Also the fact that you were able to conceive earlier this year, is encouraging too. By the way, I think your friends are wrong---you aren't nuts---if you are I am even more so because I am 43, and wanting to conceive #2! ( am going on my 3rd month of TTC) I am wishing you luck and baby dust!

Anyhow Im just saying don't give up! I've got pregnant twice now with no drugs and this last time we were barely trying becaue we were overseas and then sick when we came back... not only that but i only have one tube!!So basically what im saying is don't give up hope! I have had 5 pregnancies which have not worked out so with this number 6 all I can do is hope!! Good luck

I just suffered a Ectopic about 1 week ago. I am 41 and conceived about 2 weeks after my birthday. This is about my 5 or 6 pregnancy with no successes. I was discovered to have Lupus Anticoagulant which is being treated with baby aspirin. I finally conceived only to have an ectopic. I am so disappointed. On top of that the relationship which was touch and go, on my part has completely collapsed.

I too remain positive and hopeful. It is my dream to be a mother. I keep having a vision of playing with a little girl on the beach (I live in Bermuda). I know if I keep my faith my prayers will be answered.

My former boyfriend was very cruel to me during my time of need and I feel only came around at the end to keep from feeling so guilty about things.

I like the idea of being in a position of not needing a bad relationship and would be very happy as a single older mom!

Hi,
Im very sorry for your loss. Ive been through 2 miscarriages and inbetween I had a beautiful little boy. Im trying again. Im 42 now. If you do try again ask your dr about heparin, it is a blood thinner anticoagulant. I will have to take it due to my blood clotting during pregnancy (reason for both losses). I wish you all the luck and Ill say a prayer for you
to be on that beach someday with your little one, girl or boy. Good luck
