Hi all. It's late, I know, but I've had a bit of a crazy day. My partner and I are not quite TTC yet. We are planning to have my tubal reversed in Feb. 2010. However, because of my age, my ObGyn ordered Day 3 and Day 21 labs so I would know where I stood hormonally. Everything came back "within normal limits' except my progesterone which was 9.08. So, she sent me to an RE who I saw today. Basically, although my labs are fine and the type of tubal that I had (15 years ago!) is the most easily and successfully reversed, he was very candid that because of my age, the chances of our conceiving are

Hi! I turned 44 yrs last month. I had a TLR and have conceived 6 times with 3 babies born and have 4 m/c the (3 in the past three yrs.) I keep praying for #8. I tell myself that its not over til its over! I have placed it in the Lord's care and have peace in my heart. I know there is a greater plan! Take heart and I hope you feel encouraged by the posts!

Hey, Jen.

I just turned 46 in October; it's just a number! However, I started ttc #3 when I was 42, so talk about patience. My DH had two VRs, first one failed. Then, my body started acting up. I started on lots of vits and sups and now bio identical progesterone cream, this was a little low for me too. I really believe it is all going to even out. We too have put it in God's hands. Many of strong women in the bible conceived very late in life...later than us:)

Thanks for the good words! Maybe next year, right? The Red Sox, I mean : )Hopefully, BFP for you and the rest before then. I need a TR first (right after the first of the year) then BFPs all around! Someone suggested checking out the Pregnant over 40 message board. Now, that's some great stuff! Gives me hope. Check 'em out. Some awesome ladies on there. Some of whom have been right where we are. Take care and lotsa baby dust! Jen

No, you're not - I am 46 and a Red Sox fan, too! Neither of us have any issues, but had 2 MCs (at 44 and 46). Periods are more regular than ever. We're not giving up, but I'm trying to relax about it. I quit my job, so I hope the lowered stress levels will help. We're also going to Aruba - maybe that will do the trick! There are so many women in my life (mother, grandmother, 3 cousins) who have had children in their 40s, so it can happen to me...and you!

I'll be 44 in January. and as I see it, I am not dead yet, so if I want to keep trying for a baby (my first) then why the heck not.

Hello and welcome.

We've had lots of success stories (maybe Brenda will chime in).

I'm 45 (and a half) and I'm TTC #1.

Hi there!

Michelle and my stories are very very similar. I am going to be 45 in January too. I also got pregnant two times when I was 43 and I also lost both pregnancies. I had a chemical pregnancy about 4 months ago. I know women in their 40s get pregnant all the time, but the chances are much lower. But I keep telling myself that lots of women do it and so can I. I think the stress of it all is really hard on us though. I'm trying to find a way to truly leave it in God's hands and not stress over it. it's very hard to do!!! i'm sure eventually i'll get there.

i wish you much luck. it's so worth trying!!!
