am i selfish

I really don't know how wanting to have children could ever be considered "selfish". I have heard people say that having "old" parents would be selfish because the child has a higher chance of having a parent die while they are still relatively young. The truth is that people can die every day, at every age. If you want to take a step back and look at things, there are alot of circumstances that people could call "selfish" when it comes to having children. Is it selfish to have children in same-sex marriages? I mean afterall you are denying the child a mother or father, right? Is is selfish to have children when you are poor? Is is selfish to have children if you are atheiest? I mean, there is always a circumstance where someone is going to view it as selfish. Heck, there are people out there that think even having children is selfish because our world is so horrible.

If you have love to give to a child, bringing a life into the world is never selfish imo!
