Hi,

I haven't had the problem of irregular bleeding but I did have luteal phase defect (LPD).

I went for my yearly check-up in February and the dr called to say that she saw endometrial cells on my paps. I explained to her that was probably because I was on the last day (very light) of my AF. Normally I would have changed the appointment, but it took months to get in. Anyway, she said I still should not have these cells appear on my paps. She also said that Endo Cancer could be the cause, but not to get concerned, because this is not common in women with my characteristics. She said women very overweight (around 300 lbs) or women post menopause, are more likely to have this. Anyway, she still has to do the biopsy to rule it out. I am waiting for that now. I hope this helps.

I am actually going for an endometrial biospy this coming Tues. Since the birth of my last child 3 1/2 yrs ago I have had very heavy bleeding. Last Oct I was put on bcp for peri-menopause symptoms. They definitely helped control the bleeding, but for the last 3 months I have had extremely heavy bleeding and clotting for about 18-24 hours. Not to be gross, but the clots are HUGE(bigger than a baseball). If I hadn't known better, I would have thought I was having mc's. Anyway, went to the doctor last week and he wants to do a hysteroscopy(where they look for fibroids or polyps in the uterus) and do a biopsy. I have done research and it's not a bad procedure....cramping after, that's all.

GL and let us know how it goes if you do the procedure.

I'm all for erring on the side of caution so it sounds like you should have the biopsy.
