Are my eggs too old??

Hi All. I am new here - I will be 40 in April, I conceived recently after being told that pg was not an option. Sadly, I m.c'd at 6 weeks. Now I am even more focused on a goal of a sibling for my dd (3). My ovaries were not cooperating after chemotheraphy in 2001/2002.
Anyway, even if my cycles come back, I read that the chances of a miscarriage in our age group is 50%!!!! As much as I would love child #2, I don't know if I could handle m/c #2. My husband is also not sure if he ttc freely without being afraid that he will contribute to another m/c as well. Any thoughts, advice, stories of success? I need some good news!

I would suggest that you get some testing done and also you may want to see a specialist. I suggest seeing a specialist to most women over 40 who are ttc and having any sort of problem and since you went through chemo is is very important. With some of the test 3 day fsh for example this can give the doctor some idea on the quality of your egg reserve.
I know how hard m/c's can be. My dh and myself have been through a couple and they were so hard. We just made sure to keep communication open and to also give each other space if that is what we needed.
Sending lots of hugs and baby dust
