Gina - I would get another RE - the only reason I even say that is my RE (whom I am on the sence about still) told me clomid is not great for someone that ovulates regularly as it messes with your lining.
hi, Gina, I would also suggest that you get someone else. My understanding is that Clomid isn't the best for people over 40. I think injectables are preferred by doctors for us. If your doctor isn't a "Reproductice Endocrinologist", then perhaps they could recommend one to you.
Gina, I am wishing you all the luck in the world. This isn't an easy process, for sure.
Laurie, I didn't know Making Babies did the trick! I just took it out of the library (hey, I'm broke from all these fertility treatments. :) )Jill Blakeway is my acupuncturist (though I went to her associates during my IVF). She is an awesome woman. I went to her for about 6 months in 2008 (before the book came out) and while I didn't get PG I did like her a lot.
Hi Gina, welcome here! Sorry I am so late coming in on this, things have been busy here and I have had little time to be on the board. My doctor actually said that clomid was good for women over 40, but he is only an OB not an RE so I wouldn't go just with what he said. I was only on it for a few months, and obviously did not have success with it, although I did have success with it when I was 39. Sounds like you are doing all that you can, so hopefully things will happen for you soon.
I understand your pain and frustration with your sister, things like that just never seem fair. Just hang in there and take it a day at a time. Tough when it seems your own family doesn't support you as well as they could. (((Hugs)))
