Hi,

I am Laura, 41 years old, DH is 43. We were blessed with our DD Emma in Nov 04. I decided to breast feed her and now have pretty much weaned her. We really want to TTC #2 as soon as possible. Like many of you I am wondering if my body will be able to do it. I am very healthy and luckily had no problems at all with #1. Of course I worried the whole time wondering if she would be okay and so on. Also, I did have two early miscarriages prior to the successful pregnancy (hence some of the worry).

This board looks very slow compared to last time I was here. I think it goes in spurts. I'll be around if anyone cares to jump in. I've been reading some of the posts but some of them are a bit old for me to reply to.

Regards,
Laura

Hi there. I am new here.... also 41 (will be this week) and will ttc # 2 starting next month. My son (Jan 11 '03) was conceived while I was on bc pills so I've never actually ttc before and it's a wierd feeling. I have such fears of genetic problems that it almost keeps me from trying for another child. My son is so perfect and gorgeous I feel like I shouldn't tempt fate but I really want another little baby.
I took my last bc pill in May and having a hard time pinning down my ovulation date. I got a negative opk result on day 11 and a pos result on day 12 but a negative result today....day 13. It seems wierd that there would be such a brief lh surge that only one pos result would occur. I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks.
good luck.

Hi,

This post is to enelem. I am 41 also, will be 42 in a few months. I am trying to conceive my 2nd also but my first is 9 yrs almost 10. I have posted here but not for few months. I have just been silently lurking. I just wanted to let you know that a positive OPT for one day is not unusual. I have been using them since Dec 2002, it helped me conceive a baby in 4/03 that I later miscarried. I just wanted to let you know that the majority of the months I had a positive test on only one day. It's all a timing issue of when you take the test and it is best to BD within 12 to 36 hrs after the surge.

I hope this helps.

Lisa
