hi im 43 , ttc no;8 2nd month, have 7 little ones, so life pretty busy........ ttc no;8 ca not resist one more, trying not to get obsessed as i tend to... had no;7 baby at nearly 42, so praying i still can. feel anxious as abit older now, wish someone could tell me yes it will happen but be patient... had 2 over 40 so i should feel positive but i dont........... using ovulations kits as i did previously and it worked... find these much easier & something to focus on......... as difficult to get the timing right with 7 under 10.........

oh well , enough about me , just tell me ladies it will happen again at 43 as feeling miserable & need to stop being selfish........

thanks

Hi my name is Amy, I just wanted to respond to this post. We are thinking about trying to conceive number 5. Our biggest issue right now is my husbands age. I am 39 and he is 65. We love each other and have been so blessed by the 4 children we have (ages 12 g, 14 b, 16 b, and 22. I had our 22 year old before I met my dh, and he has loved and accepted him as his own. We have been married for 19 years.
I have always loved being a mom more than anything and would so love to have another.
We are financially secure and will always be taken care of should something happen to my dh.
My husband does not look his age at all nor act it. People think he is just maybe 10 years older than me tops.
Its so hard to fight these strong maternal desires, I just cried myself to sleep last night.
Am I being selfish?

warning some religous content:

I don't think you're selfish. As someone said in another thread, it doesn't matter what # baby it is, the want is the same. I am hoping and praying we are blessed again soon and we already have 10. I had a M/C in Febuary,

I think it can be done , just higher odds of mc after 40 , but be patient . I am mother to 8, and hoping for #9, had #7 @40 and #8@ 42. I am now 45 and mc right now as i am writing to you, but i know deep down I will have another, I have had 4 mc in a row since oct of last year, I know that i need to make every cycl count,my dr said at my age that the odds a for every 4mc i would have one baby.so i am willing to ttc one more time cause i know i can conceive i just need to hold on to the pregnancy, I was taking baby asprin & permetium this last pregnancy and i really thought i was going to hold on to it, but it wasn't ment to be.so to you all keep trying as long as your healthy, we will be blessed just be patient................ my ages of my children are 2 1/2,4,7,9,10,12,14,161/2...........2girls and 6boys...............Thanks for letting me get this out.................Rose

Hi and welcome! I so hope that #8 comes easily for you, I love big families! We have four and hoping to add more, a long way from a large family like yours! I am now 44, had my last baby at 41, she is almost 3 now! (Funny, I have been thinking I was 42 when I had her, but I guess I was just almost 42! Oops!) I did get pregnant last year, but something happened and the baby died, so here we are trying again. Your household must be quite busy with them all so young, must be a blast!

Dee-

Does ppaf mean post-pregnancy Aunt Flo? Are you saying you haven't gotten your periods back yet? I looked at the acronyms link but there was no PPAF there for us newbs. 8-)

Wishing you the best,

Wow, you are a busy one! I love your screen name. 8-) Welcome to the Board and thanks for introducing yourself.

You've had an amazing journey as a fertile myrtle. I hope that trend continues, and you're carrying #8 very soon! Stories like yours give me hope that I, too, can conceive past the age of 40.

Hope you find the support you're looking for here.
