I am 47 an have experienced early signs of perimenopause.

Hi. Yes, I believe it can. I think until you are completely into menopause, it can still happen. A friend of mine thought she was having signs of menopause as were some of her friends (who had thought they might be pregnant) but it turned out to be a baby instead! I think she was 45 at the time, and then had another baby at 47. If you think you might be pregnant, then either get a home pregnancy test or go to your doctor and have him/her check you out. Keep us posted on how you are doing, okay?

STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNET!!! Seriously, there are so many negatives out there you would think it was the worst possible thing to happen! But there are MANY positive stories, they are just not the ones they talk about. And remember, statistics do not tell the whole story. And when you do look at them, keep in mind that even when you are over 40 the odds are still very much in your favour that you would end up with a healthy child!

We're all sure hoping it can! Menopause is after one full year with no period that is what I've been told.
