Do you have any good news to share that might give us something to smile about, be grateful for or give us a good laugh? all in the name of getting our minds off TTC, of course.

This story isn't my own, but it is amazing:

A little boy in Winnipeg, Manitoba (where all the flooding has been happening) fell into the Whitemud River 13 days ago while walking in the area. His buddies tried to grab him and pull him out, but the current was too strong.

What a neat story! Thanks for sharing that with us today. I am a Christian and I have seen many miracles big and small and have faith. I hope the story keeps building up your faith more! Maybe your little miracle will be that BFP very soon!? Bless you sister!

Humm~ My story...Lets see...Well my story is how the Lord healed me from a life of drinking, smoking and depression and set me on solid ground and has blessed me with a wonderful husband and family and the health to run my 4th marathon tomorrow morning. Those are nothing short of every day miracles! Hang on gals to your faith in those BFP's.

it's good news all the same, Ruth. My Grandfather's house has been on the market for three years (he passed away four years ago), and it is a real source of stress for my mom and her siblings, so I can understand where you're coming from. I am sure that in some small way, this will help you to move forward in your life.

My news is also not earth shattering... but... some of you will remember that I developed Impaired Glucose Tolerance in my last trimester with Sawyer. This is one step down from Gestational Diabetes. I had to be very controlled with my eating for the last couple of months or risk health problems for myself and the baby.

Some cases of IGT and GD have a permanent effect on glucose tolerance/insulin production... and thus testing post pregnancy is always a good idea.

I had mine done last week... all clear with excellent results on the fasting and 2 hour test. Yeah!

Great news, Susan. I am glad your mom is well. She sounds like a resilient positive sort of person (the kind I wish I was).

Libby, that's great news! Not earth shattering, but good news about one's health is always cause for celebration. GD can have health implications well into the future -- it's a relief to know you are in the clear.
