Well the other IUI didn't work. so this cycle the RE saw 3 good sized follicles. She got excited cuz the Estradiol was high, Pregesterone is low. so that means I should be ovulating soon. So it I have a positive OPK then we shall attempt a IUI on thursday and maybe another on Friday. This puts a damper on our work schedules, but all I can say, is that it better work this time!!!!

That is wonderful news, gas42. It sounds like you have some chances this week! I know it must be very, very difficult to be ttc and having to work around a work schedule. I work actually 80 hours a week myself, but I work 1 week on, and then have 1 week off, but because I work an overnight shift, I am actually able to go in to the doctor anytime they say it needs to be scheduled, and it doesn't interfere with my work, or having to ask for time off. I lose a bit of sleep on those days, but I just think of it as if there was a baby in the house, your sleep patterns are disrupted anyway! But I can imagine how hard it has to be to get off the job for all the appointments we need to do. Not only that, but you probably have to tell your boss about the reason why you need to be out so much, and really, that is personal information that at this point I would not be willing to share with my boss, even though she is female!

Can you explain a bit more to me about the IUI? I am still relatively new to all the TTC medical procedures, as we have just begun our journey a couple of months ago, and are still getting the preliminary things started. I was wondering if an IUI is as costly as IVF? From what I have read, one tries the IUI first, before having to decide to IVF, is that correct?

Well I had the double IUI last Thurs & Friday and I just hope it works.Took Friday afternoon off and laid in bed... My husband is worried about having a mulitple pregnancy and I'm just worried about whether or not I'll get pregnant. I can't afford IVF, thank god my IUI cost only $25 each with my insurance. I have an older daughter to send off to college next year so I can't do the IVF. I know that works better... I have heard that IF I do conceive, then the inplantation could occur around 6-12 days after the IUI. I wonder what kind of symptoms I could expect IF I am pregnant. But I know its too early to tell. Around Nov. 20th I'll take a pregnancy test to see. I am on the progesterone suppositories now till them. I would like a miracle here, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am trying not to think about it, so I don't fall into a deep depression if the test its negative...Send some baby dust this way!!!!!

Hi
Feeling a bit bloated. Been on the progesterone suppositories. Not sure what the side effects of that is, but for some odd reason, I'm so emotional lately. Double or triple of what comes with PMS. Not sure what is going on with my body, but I am trying not to think about being pregnant...and just taking one day at a time. Trying to keep positive thoughts and praying for a positive preg test on the 19th...
