Hi everyone. I've been here off and on and just wanted to check in and see if any of you are having a similar problem.

Hi Kim, welcome!!!! I had my DD three years ago and i've been trying to have another for over 1 1/2 years. we got pregnant with our DD very very easily. I have had two miscarriages in the last year. My dr. told me that fertility significantly drops with every month after the age of 40. There could also be an issue with your DH's swimmers. The usual tests they do, is a CD3 blood test to test hormones and the very talked about FSH (which is to measure your ovarian reserve). You can also have a sperm analysis done too. First Response offers a fertility test, that tests fsh on CD3 to give you some idea of your ovarian reserve. This test is a pee on a stick test you do at home, available at your local drugstore. Fertell has a test that you can do in your home for both male and female. it's usually sold together. check out www.fertell.com. it's pricey, but it's a great way to know if you might be dealing with any issues.

Couple things my dr. told me about fertility and AMA (advanced maternal age) - eggs are old and you have to find the golden one. one other helpful thing she told me... we tried for 8 months unsuccessfully BDing (baby dancing) every day beginning on CD12. I don't O till CD17. When your DH is older, my dr. recommends BDing every other day till O is confirmed through temping. She said the sperm needs time to rejuv. so every day was probably pushing the limits of the sperms mobility. I thought i'd give it a try and the first cycle we went to every other day, we got pregnant. sadly i m/c'd, but it did work. just thought i'd mention it. I also tried clomid, which i got my 2nd bfp on. sadly again another m/c. m/c rates are high when the mother and father are older.

I hope this helps. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are very successful soon!!!!
