A gentle reminder....

I just want to remind everyone to post BFP/PG related announcements and updates in one of the two sections devoted to moms. I am NOT admonishing anyone, I just think we sometimes forget that it is very hard for those who have not gotten PG to read these posts, and at least if they are in a special section, they can be avoided for those that have a hard time reading about the BFPs.

If you want info on board sections, please see the Board Sections and Siggies post further down in this section.

thanks for taking the time to read this.

I kinda thought that the initial announcement should go in the "Updates" section? Then move down to the moms or graduates section.... No?

Personally, reading about BFPs makes me happy and motivates me to keep trying. Makes me think that I can do it too!!!

Hi Paula. You make a good point. When I first joined the board, it seemed to me that people made BFP announcements in Grads, but I might not be correct. Let's see what others have to say and then we'll decide. Maybe members don't mind where the announcements are made -- I read em wherever they are!

I really didnt make a great point, but by example, unfortunately I AM the point today. I had a BFP yesterday and started bleeding a lot last night and this morning.

I agree, Paula. The tone of your announcment read more like an update then a yelling from the treetops sort of thing. I think your post in here was fine and would not be upsetting at all given the fact that this is a worrisome (at least for now) set of circumstances. Perhaps this is not an issue at all and I am just being a

I know I'm new around here, but I agree w/ the PP's that a BFP section would make it pretty clear-cut where to post that initial

Although I stop by to read many posts several times throughout the day, I'm not a very active poster.

Interesting discussion. I am relatively new to the board, and none of this has bothered me, but it does raise a good point. Given how things are now, I would likely also put a BFP under the Updates section, but I am not sure where I would put the HCG tests and u/s that would follow. To me it would be an update or concern, just because with my history I am never sure if I will make it out of the first trimester. Even if we don't have a BFP and 1st Trimester concern folder, as long as the subject gives you a heads up I am good with that. I do think having a BFP and related concerns folder is a good idea, especially if someone is having struggles with all of that. Having dealt with infertility most of my life in one way or another, I know there are often times when it just gets too much and I postpone reading them for a day or two. Not the case at the moment, I have just been so busy haven't had a chance to get to this board!
