Good Morning

I'm really excieted about joining this board. I had my DS at 40. Last January we started trying for #2. I got pregnant in three month but lost the pregnancy at 8 weeks. Now, one full cycle later, we are ready to try again. I've been on the Pregnancy Loss board since my miscarrage and have found great support there but, while I don't doubt the legitmacy of the pain someone who has had a m/c might be feeling or someone who is having difficulty conceiving, when they are only 25 years old or even 32 years old, I guess I have some difficulty relating. For me, every month I think, this is my last chance. Ironically, being older makes it more difficult to get support from the outside world. I know people think I shouldn't be trying to get pregnant anyway, especially since I've already had my mircle child. Anyway, I'm almost 42 and I'm going to try again.

Thanks for listening

Hi Kat - I was on the PG loss board too and moved on over here. I am 45 and just m/c at 9 weeks. I also took this VERY VERY hard as I felt it was one of my last chances too. I also feel for everyone's pain and can sympathize, but also feel exactly as you do, like our time is running out!!!

Please e-mail me for advice, comfort or if you just want an older mommy-wants-to-be person to talk to from time to time.

Kat, I take it that you have also posted on the 'other' board too so there is no need to redirect you there. I am glad that you found us and know that you will certainly find support and friendship. It is easier to relate to other women who are your own age!
