Hi Dee, I had my daughter at almost 40 and my AF returned after 5 months. I nursed her full time for 14 months and then before nap/bedtime for another 10 months. My periods have been very regular...except for two months after a chemical pregnancy and a few months before a cyst ruptured. Since then my cycles are back on track 28-29 days. I always felt like I was ovualting, even when I was nursing....but I'm not so sure now...since we've been ttc for awhile. I completely stopped nursing 3 months ago...so we'll see what happens. I don't know if age affects when your AF returns, while you're still nursing...I'm sure someone on this board can answer your questions!

Hi dee,
I had my first baby at 42 and breastfed her until she was 16 months (just two months ago).
I got my first cycle when she was 3 months old, even though I was exclusively breastfeeding.

For those who's period came back so soon....was this a change for you?
