How long to wait after a miscarriage?

I don't even really think of it as a miscarriage because if I wasn't anal and took a PG test early I never would have known. I only knew I was PG for a day and a half and then AF came. Does anyone know if I need to wait a cycle or two? We continued trying but I just took a test and it is negative. Maybe it's for the better to wait a month or so? Who knows.

First of all, big hugs to you. I had one of those and it still hurts knowing you were pregnant and now you're not--even if it was just for a couple days. I'm sorry! :-(

I know that when I was doing IVF/IUIs, my doc wanted me to wait about 2 or 3 months after a miscarriage 'cause I had so much meds in me--they wanted it to all clear out of my body so we could start fresh. It was hard waiting 'cause I was racing time as well.

Now that the husband and I are just trying on our own naturally, my doc said that technically we could try after the miscarriage (when a lot of women are most fertile). We still waited a month after our last miscarriage to try 'cause neither of us were emotionally ready. And I think that's one thing to consider--it's not just whether your body is ready, but whether your mind is, too. It's difficult dealing with a loss and for me, it was good not to try again RIGHT away.

Check with your OB, but that's what we did.

In these circumstances, I would say that there is no reason to wait at all. AF came on time, flow regular, no unusual flow or clots or pain/cramping - you should be good to go.

Always best to review these matters with your doc, if you have any concerns.

Sorry it didn't work out for you (HUGS).

I got pg with DS the month after my 2nd m/c...

since he was born and we started TTC, I've had 2 more and am now on Clomid.

But I think if it was that short a pg, you'd probably be OK to jump right back in, as long as you feel ok about that!
