I need advice

I'm 43 (will be 44 in Sept.) and TTC with my new husband. We have tried for almost 6 months with no success. My question is: I have always had very good fertility and so has he (we both have children from previous marriages). We have sex almost every day, and especially just prior and during ovulation (I use an ovulation predictor kit). What else can we do to increase our chances? Should we abstain awhile before my fertile time? Should we try a different position? Will it help if I use more lubrication or stand on my head?? I'm going to my family doctor next week for a check-up and will ask for her help at that point. I think I'm ovulating because the kit always detects a strong LH surge around day 10-12 and my periods are regular at 27-28 days every month. Please give me some advice!

Are you checking your cm? Make sure that when you and your hubby bd, your cm is stringy like egg whites and not tacky. Also, I read that it is not a good idea to bd every day. Also, when you bd remain on your back. Afterwards, do not get up for at least 20 minutes.

Try to always remain in a calm state, ie, never yell or feel anger :-)

Try to eliminate coffee, caffenated tea, soda and foods that contain MSG. (Hey, you never know).

This is what I did to get pg naturally at 39 and 1 mo.

Wishing you my best,

I have learned after reading this message board that you should probably get a hormone test on day 3 and/or 4 of your cycle, and that you should see a RE not just an OBGYN. Also, perhaps your husband should be checked as well if he is past 50, or smokes or takes any medicines.

Wishing you the best and hopefully soon you will report good news!!

Hi,

You could be BDing too much believe it or not!!! Sperm needs 48-36 hours to produce & if you are BD every day Dh is never getting a chance to reproduce a healthy batch of good strong swimmers. You should BD every other day around the time of O.

Hope this helps!!!
