Hello. While I have read message boards, I have finally gained the nerve to start posting. I would like to join your group.

I am 41 1/2 and am in the midst of a my first ectopic pg (at least what appears to be). :-( Prior to this, I have had six early miscarriages. I have been trying for years to have my third child.

Tomorrow, I will have more bloodwork done. Depending on the results, I will have a D & C and a methotrexate shot.

It is very hard to get in the mood for Christmas with all this going on.

I have recently restarted acupuncture treatment for fertility.

hi, I have just ventured over here today and read your posts. I am 39 (40 in May) and ttc my first. I now have (as of 12/15) no fallopian tubes so we are looking at trying IVF. My only pg was in aug 05 resulting in EP and emergency surgery Sept 1,05. I am glad to see so many in my age range over here, kinda why I was lurking.

Hi Kim. Thanks for posting. I am very sorry to hear about what you have been going through.

I have gone through IVF 4 times. 2 of them were several years ago. Although I did not get pg from these, I can be of assistance to you if you have questions about it. I have heard more of the shots are premixed now so that will help. I know other people who have been successful through IVF and it may be due to my m/c issues that mine did not work. I was pretty nervous about the shots, but they did not end up turning out to be that bad. I have had plenty other stimulated cycles and IUIs.

I ended up having a D&C yesterday which revealed no baby, so I had 2 methotrexate shots due to the EP. I need to wait 3 months prior to trying again. Hopefully, the shots will take care of this latest issue. I am extremely concerned about my age. It is nice to know we are not alone.

I am going to continue acupuncture treatment and get back into yoga and moderate exercising before trying again (once my HCG gets below 5).

Hi! I read your message, and was interested in hearing more about the acupuncture. It sounds like you have used this before. What does the acupuncture do to help with pregnancy??
