hi, I'd like to join over here, as I am 39 (40 in May) and still ttc #1. We have had some major setbacks and are now looking at IVF as our only option. I am nervous about having a child at 40, but after reading thru some posts over here don't feel quite so alone!! everyone I know had grown kids and some even have grandkids, so they think I am nuts to do this now, but in reality, I am just now ready and financially able to do expensive procedures like IVF.

I notice there is no CL here...what happened to the last one and isn't anyone interested in doing it, I put in a notice, but I am not really quailified. I would like to see this board active though, as I feel I fit in more here.

Hi, Kim. Welcome.

I just turned 43 and have been TTC#1 since 2003. DH had a vasectomy reversal that year,

hi Jodi,

I actually have a RE and we have done all our testing as of 12/15!!! we have an appt Jan 3, just a post op for me, and then we have our plan of action appt Jan 13. this office is a bit precise with their "schedule" we have had 1001 tests and they tell us nothing until our "plan of action" appt. Whatever!! I have high hopes for this, my dr is supposed to be very good at this, and I know of three women in our town who had success with him. my general practioner had twins via IVF and recommended him highly!!!

thanks for responding to my posts, haven't I "met" you on another board?

Oh good, Kim. You're well on your way. Let me know what your protocol is, when you get it. I'm a bit surprised that there aren't more IVFers, or at least IUIers, here.

I'm not sure if we've met on another board. I frequent the IVF, Support, Advice & Friend board. You've probably visited that one? Since I'm one of the "old broads" there, I tend to cling to
