Welcome! It sounds like you're off to a great start. I recommend that you go to the FAQ section and read some of the article ladies have posted about improving egg quality etc. Best of luck to you and happy bd'ing!
Welcome to the board! I am not sure if there is a "normal" for follicle count. I think there is desirable then varying degrees of less than desirable! Was the count he gave you the antral follicle count? They could have just been looking at the larger follicles, so I would find out.
Antral follicle count takes into consideration the number of follicles they can see per ovary, then doubles it (because there are obviously follicles on the other side of the ovary that they cannot see).
For our age bracket we are generally looking at between 10 (per ovary)
Honestly, in your position I would ask for a clomid challenge test to see what your fsh levels are on cd 3 and cd10. Look into what you can do to improve egg quality/number and your husbands sperm quality. There are alot of natural things that could help-accupunture, L-arginine for your husband, etc. Lastly, I would find a doctor that will do the iui possibly with injectibles. I mean if your insurance covers it and they wont do it..wtf?!
