Hi everyone. I'm new to the boards. I'm 40 and trying to conceive.

Hello and welcome here! So sorry for your loss with the ectopic, those are hard. I had one 12 1/2 yrs ago. I too am lucky to be alive, but I ended up losing my right ovary as well as the tube. At least I don't have to worry about which side I am ovulating on since I only have one. I hope things go really well for you and if you have any questions there is sure to be someone here with the answer. :-)

Hey there -- sorry for the rough road. Glad you made it through the ectopic -- so scary! If it helps, I tried different protocols with my three IVFs. I had much better luck (in terms of eggs retrieved, eggs successfully fertilized and embryos transferred) with the microflare lupron and estrogen priming protocols. I ended up PG after the estrogen priming round. You might want to ask your RE about it (if you haven't already). Good luck!
