Hi everyone, after TTC for a few cycles now, and having every test under the sun, I have decided to try IVF.

Hello Heidi, welcome! How exciting, wish I could be where you are in this journey, I would be for sure if my insurance paid for it, ours pays a big fat 0%, I didn't even know that some insurances paid part let alone all of infertility costs!! Good luck and look forward to your updates! =)

Yay so excited for yoU! I know, al those meds seem very daunting. But frmo what I hear they aren't as bad once you start doing them. GOOD LUCK to you and the others in the same cycle1! I will be right behind you with my first IVF cycle too, maybe this summer. Look forward to reading about your journey. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

Lizzy B. Don't wait. Our age means an RE will see you any time. Just go for it. This process takes a very long time. I'm sure there are lots of women here who will agree. At the very least you can get some diagnostic tests done. Even if you don't do IUI or IVF.

PS: IUI = interuterine insemination (you take drugs to make extra eggs to improve your chances of catching one and then DH provides a sample for the procedure...think "turkey baster".
IVF = your eggs and DH sample in a petrie dish. grow some embies and put 'em back. "bake at 98 degrees for 9 months" LOL
