Hello. I just turned 40 and am having a very difficult time getting pregnant. The first fertility specialist told me that I should get an egg doner because I am not a candidate for In-vetro according to the blood test that were taken, it showed premature egg failure. He also said that if I went somewhere else to try in-vetro, they would be taking my money because it won't work. Well, after I received that horrible news, I seeked advice from a gynocologist that I trust. I faxed over my blood test results to him. He said that he didn't see any indication of that diagnosis! Then he gave me a name of another specialist that I am currently seeing. (who can I trust?)

This new specialist does not agree with the diagnosis that the other specialist made but said "you're 40 years old". Your eggs are 40. Nothing premature. He feels we should take the most aggressive approach and try in-vetro.

I just don't know who to trust anymore. These doctor's that play with your life!

I have always wanted children. I don't have any. My first husband was a complete butthole and lied to me for many years about wanting children

So, the Dr. found a very small polyp when he did my water sonogram. The doctor who did the exm said that it was very tiny and should be no problem. My doctor thinks it should be removed since I only have a small chance of gettung pregnant at my age. I don't know what to do.

Thank you all so much for the support. I Wii definitely keep you posted. And yes, I am tired about hearing about statistics! We all have our own fate and I am glad that I decided to try IVF because I was about to give up when the doctors would tell me of a possible 5% chance of it working.

Had an endometrial biopsy today. A little spotting but I was a good sport. I'll let them torture me because I want to be a mommy! Lol! I have the IVF orientation Tuesday and I believe I start my cycle in March. Woo hoo!

Well, I'm going through the steps to start my ivf cycle in march. Very nervous! Had a water sonogram yesterday and thought I would die. He had a problem getting the catheter in.. next step is an endometrial biopsy. Then the meds start!
