Hello. I just turned 40 and am having a very difficult time getting pregnant. The first fertility specialist told me that I should get an egg doner because I am not a candidate for In-vetro according to the blood test that were taken, it showed premature egg failure. He also said that if I went somewhere else to try in-vetro, they would be taking my money because it won't work. Well, after I received that horrible news, I seeked advice from a gynocologist that I trust. I faxed over my blood test results to him. He said that he didn't see any indication of that diagnosis! Then he gave me a name of another specialist that I am currently seeing. (who can I trust?)
This new specialist does not agree with the diagnosis that the other specialist made but said "you're 40 years old". Your eggs are 40. Nothing premature. He feels we should take the most aggressive approach and try in-vetro.
I just don't know who to trust anymore. These doctor's that play with your life!
I have always wanted children. I don't have any. My first husband was a complete butthole and lied to me for many years about wanting children

I did IVF at age 43 and 10 months.
I'm happy to hear someone else here will be doing IVF in March.
Had an endometrial biopsy today. A little spotting but I was a good sport. I'll let them torture me because I want to be a mommy! Lol! I have the IVF orientation Tuesday and I believe I start my cycle in March. Woo hoo!
Hi,
You may want to ask your RE about going on dhea before your IVF.
