Live on a Boat - trying to decide

I turned 40 in October, my husband is 42. Before we got married in 2002, we had the long discussion of would we/wouldn't we. Part of it hinged on whether we would buy a house or a boat. We bought the boat. This week, after years of his protesting otherwise, my husband let the beans spill that he may want to try. My concern is our age and the boat. We have neighbors in the marina who have 2 year old twins and manage very well in a boat much smaller than ours. I'm intrigued, but?....

Hi

are you concerned about the water and safety?

if so, well kids can get into anything in a house..

My nephew learned how to unlatch the safety latches for kitchen cupboards

in less than a week!

I think new parents adapt to being parents and becoming aware of watching out for their children. I'm not a parent (yet) but my sister said she developed a sixth sense when she had her first...

If it's the boat size issue, I wouldn't let you stop that. Families used to be bigger (I'm the youngest of 6,our house had 1 bathroom) and were smaller compared to some of today's houses...

good luck on your decision

Thanks. We're going to the Bahamas this week and have put off any discussions 'til then. I'm leaning towards yes....
