M/C again 6/19
I had first mc at 7 weeks and never had my progesterone checked. So when i got pregnant again i asked the doc to prescribe progesterone. She said no if the pregnancy was going to end it will end no matter what. At 16dpo beta = 456 progesterone 15.2 18dpo beta 1059 at 24dpo 8899
First ultrasound my doc saw everything but no fetal pole. She said y dates might be off. She told me to come back in a week. In a week 6weeks 3 days she saw a small hb. 6 days later i had small cramps to be on the safe side i went to the ER and found out i mc at 6weeks 4 days. A day after my ultrasound. I went back to my doc and she confirmed the mc. i asked her to check my progesterone level she said that will not tell her anything i said i just to know for myself. 7 days after my mc my progesterone was 10.1
This doctor is a fertility doc. I had a started going to her because i had a miscarriage before and then i got pregnant on my own before we did anything. I was thing about doing IVF.
Do you think progesterone is the culprit??
I am so sad. Talking to DH about IVF next.
With me i can get pregnant but not stay pregnant in the problem.
Keep me in your prayers

If you can get pregnant, then I think you need to find a doctor who will give you progesterone or something that will help youmstay pregnant. Ivf would probably only work, because the docs always give you progesterone. I don't think you need ivf to get you pregnant, your prior miscarriages prove that.
Best of luck,

I'm really sorry that you had this happen. Although I, too, am surprised by your doctor not helping out the pregnancy with progesterone, my understanding is that a lot of m/cs are caused by genetic problems. IVF could help with that since they could take out 8-10 eggs and put back only the most viable and healthy looking embryos. So, since you can get pregnant, you are clearly ovulating and IVF might be a great alternative for you. After you get over this, you might want to start by calling your insurance company and seeing if they cover it.
best,
martha
I am so sorry for your loss - recurring M/C is a hard thing to go through.
Hi. I am so sorry to hear about your M/C. I agree with the PPs -- you need to get a doc who will do EVERYTHING to help you stay PG. I had a FET on April 30. I started progesterone 4 days before (200 mg 3X a day) and AM STILL ON IT 8 weeks later. I asked my RE/ObGyn if I could scale back and he said NO. Do it until 13 weeks. I have seen the HB twice and had two normal U/Ss and he still insists -- so there must be something to it. Progesterone suppositories or shots are expensive and a major PIA, but there is no such thing as too much. Get another doc -- don't go right to IVF before you know what the problem is. Good Luck.
I am so very sorry to learn of your loss.
The others here have given some very wise and experienced advise.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and hope you are finding ways to take good care of yourself.
