Hi Robin, I know what you mean about not speaking of it, for fear to jinx it. i feel the same way lots of times.

seems early for the start of menopause, but everyone is different. I too am 44 years old. have you had any symptoms of MP? ie, hot flashed, night sweats, dizzyness? my OB told me that you can usually gauge when you are going to enter MP by when your mother did. she said it's usually pretty close. I'm adopted so I don't have access to that info.

did you call your dr and see if you can get a bloodtest? i know someladies that didn't get a bfp on hpt, but got a positive on a bloodtest. I hope you are indeed pregnant. that would be so awesome!!! please keep us posted, but if I were you i'd call my dr.

Thanks for replying. I have not had any of the Mp symptoms. I think my mom was in her late 50's. I have not scheduled a blood test yet we are actually up north visiting family until the 6th of Aug. I figure if things are still the same then I will schedule an appointment.

GL Robin. Average age for menopause is 54 -- but having whacky cycles in your 40s is common. I always had a perfect 28 d cycle -- even after my DS. However, in recent years, they have been longer (by as much as a week) or shorter (by one or two days). I am 43 and have no signs of menopause in terms of ovulation and hormone levels. I sure hope that it is a BFP.

I am sorry to say that AF showed up last night 15 days late! Thanks for all your input. I really thought this was the real thing. I will keep praying for all of you to get BFP!
