Not sure where to post my thoughts... So I hope you don't mind me invading your space.

Mistmom67 - I do understand the anger. My DH and I lost our second in 2006, I would have liked to have tried again right away but he wasn't emotionally up for it. Time passes and in 2008 I basically told him if he was ever going to change his mind he needed to do so before I was 40 (I was 37.5 at the time). He changed his mind and decided he was on board with trying again this past June (I was 39.5). We also have a 7 yr old.

My initial reaction was grateful, and my second was anger. I was really angry that it took him so long, that he changed his mind at the last minute (or so it seemed to me), that he was the one so in control and why wasn't I more persistent about what I wanted? Lots of things. It took me a couple weeks to get over it. The important thing was whether I wanted to try myself, and I knew I did, so we got started.

I turned 40 this December and got a BFP just before Christmas.
TTC#3 since June 2010. Me = 40 w/ PCOS; DH = 43; married 13 years.

I believe there is some insensitivity here.
