Wow, those Doctors sound so negative...there are lots of women over 40 just on this site alone who are pregnant or have recently given birth...not to mention in the whole rest of the world! None of those doctors tried ANYTHING for you in three years? No drugs, no IUI, no IVF, nothing? If you want to say, what have you tried or is there a known issue? Posting this information if you are comfortable might allow someone on the board to suggest something if they have had the same issue.
Like I said, look under the Graduates section, for Congratulations to the Graduates. There about about 12 of us pg right now and a couple who just gave birth...there is hope...

Welcome to the board, Martine. I agree with the PPs -- these Drs -- jeez, someone needs to go to sensitivity training. I think there is hope and you have to find a Doc who is on your side. There are things they can do to help lower your FSH -- sometimes Clomid can do the trick as well.
Thanks so much for your reply. I have only been on this board for a short time and already I can feel the support and genuine care and concern on here. I think this is a wonderful support system which is truly needed when trying ttc period, much less when you are battling the 'clock'. I want to wish you luck too!
I am in the same boat as you: 42, TTC #1, my last FSH was 20, and no RE will treat me. I am taking a bunch of supplements, using at-home donor insemination and just hoping for the best.
Welcome!
Janice

Hello crafty, and welcome to the board. I am sorry to hear about your m/c but I am happy to see you here and trying again.
Good Luck!
