Welcome to the board! Fibroids can be a painful problem I understand causing heavy bleeding/cramping ( at least my friends with them tell me so) So does your gyno think mabe you should see an RE and possibly having some of them removed? I do know they will increase in size during a PG and cause complications with many PTs undergoing c-cections to minimize

Welcome!

Each person must decide for themselves how much is too much... Yes, there are challenges... but hopefully your new doctor has some ideas and plans to make the journey easier and hopefully successful.

Is surgery to "clean the slate" possible? Does he think that implantation is possible even with the fibroids?

I wish you much success and happiness in the journey.

Best,
Libby

Fibroids can be a significant problem for pg but that really depends on WHERE they are located in the uterus. I've had 3 successful pregnancy with fibroids. They did grow throughout my pregnancy but they were/are not located in a place that had any affect on the baby.
